Serving Nebraska since 1937, NSP officers perform a wide variety of duties. Those duties include working with communities to improve public safety; enforcing traffic, criminal and drug laws; investigating crimes, as well as enforcing the laws and federal regulations pertaining to commercial motor carriers.
"Pro Bono Publico" is the NSP motto and is Latin meaning "For the Good of the Public". It is a motto we strive to put into action as we uphold the Agencys Mission and Core Values, while providing the citizens and visitors of the state of Nebraska professional law enforcement services.
